Sweet Giveaway: Sweet Art For Sweethearts!

For no particular reason, other than I think you're sweet and I like you, I'd like to offer up a sweet giveaway: a framed CakeSpy print!

This 5x7 framed print depicts a sweetly subversive scene: Cuppie enjoying a red velvet cupcake and some delicious coffee! It has an inner mat and is printed in vibrant ink on a thick cardstock paper.

And it will go to one lucky winner! How do you put your name in the hat? It's, like, totally easy. Just leave a comment below weighing in on this important question: when it comes to Red Velvet Cake, what is your favorite frosting? A traditional boiled frosting? A classic cream cheese frosting? Or perhaps a vanilla or even cocoa buttercream?

This giveaway will close one week from today, on February 13, at noon PST. The winner will be announced shortly thereafter. Of course, if you can't wait to buy CakeSpy art, click on over to cakespyshop.com!

Definitely a cream cheese frosting. I'm all about basic, clean, classic flavors when it comes to Red Velvet!

I don't like chocolate, so I don't like red velvet cake, but a pure, white, traditional buttercream frosting tastes good on any cake.

While a plain cream cheese frosting is good, I have to toot my own horn and say that I made an a-mazing red velvet cake with strawberry cream cheese frosting for my boyfriend last Valentines Day. The only bad thing was I actually had to give him the cupcakes and had none for me *tear*

And the cream cheese frosting worked so well, they were all gone within minutes of the deserts coming out :)

I'm one of the very few people who do not like cream cheese frosting - too rich, too thick, too sweet. Not delicate enough for red velvet. I love a good seven minute icing on it - it has a lovely marshmallow quality that really goes well with the bright flavours and textures of the cake.

Wow just your mention of red velvet cake has me salivating!!! I think my favorite is a cream cheese and mascarpone cheese frosting. A couple years ago I found a Giada DeLaurentis recipe that combines the two with milk and powdered sugar and I use it for everything now. I love you artwork!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm already thinking of the perfect spot for it! xo
