Sweetness on the Fly: Hope's Country Fresh Cookies, Denver Airport, Colorado

True: we were only in Denver for about an hour, on a flight layover on our way to the magical land otherwise known as New Jersey.

But we still found time for some sweetness.

It was delivered by way of a sprinkle-topped sugar cookie from Hope's Country Fresh Cookies, a sweet spot nestled in Concourse A.

I am not going to lie to you. This wasn't a life-changing cookie. It was a solidly decent cookie, of the ilk of the sturdy sort you'd find at a deli or grocery store, but with a fuller, more buttery flavor.

But on an airport layover, when time and food choices were at a premium, this cookie was just what we needed.

It's virtually impossible to find decent food in an airport so definitely a fantastic find! And how fabulous that you only had a 1 hour layover! With all the flight chaos going on all over the US, I'm so glad your flights weren't totally out of whack ...

It was not that great because it is a frozen dough ball...sure it might have real butter and no preservatives, but it IS a frozen dough ball...nothing truely beats a home made cookie!

When I was in college I would visit the original Hope's Cookies in Bryn Mawr, PA. Those cookies are amazing.

I've since had the "Hope's Cookies" at the ballpark and they were nothing alike.

I occasionally order Hope's Cookies from their website, and they are still pretty good. But nothing beats walking down to Peace-a-Pizza and Hope's and getting a slice of baked potato pizza and chasing it with a white Russian cookie.
