Sweet Giveaway: Win an Original Framed CakeSpy Watercolor!

Today, for no particular reason other than the fact that it might sweeten your day, CakeSpy is offering a giveaway.

Totally sweet: you could win a framed and matted original watercolor by CakeSpy! It pictures a sweet scene of treats flying a kite on what looks like a carefree and sugar-filled day (of course, if you can't wait to see if you won, feel free to shop online here).

Want a piece of that sweetness? To enter to win, simply leave a comment on this post to satisfy the spy's curiosity:

What is the last dessert, sweet, or baked good that really knocked your socks off?

A buttery croissant? A decadent chocolate torte? Or perhaps a homespun apple pie? I want to hear all about it. Of course recipes are welcome too!

This giveaway is open to entrants everywhere (US and abroad). The giveaway will close for entries on Thursday, November 18, at 12pm PST, and a winner will be announced shortly thereafter.

I had this sticky rice and mango pudding at a new Thai restaurant by my job. It was amazing and had coconut ice cream in it too... it was so good, i'm going back tomorrow!

I need to eat gluten free sweets, so I am addicted to making my own... I have quite the sweet tooth. I just made Chai Cupcakes about 2 hours ago and they were to die for! Even if you don't need to go gluten free, they're worth making. :)

Recipe here: http://goodbyegluten.wordpress.com/2010/11/11/chai-cupcakes/.

There is a wonderful place in Pella Iowa called Jaarsma bakery. They have a treat there called a Dutch Letter. It is like puff pastery wrapped around a sweet almond filling. Then they shape it in tio the shape of an S. This is not a new sweet to me but everytime I get over to Pella I have to have one. They also have many more great things but the dutch letter is the thing for me.

Self proclaimed dessert lover here! Pretty much everything that is sweet and has flavor is a favorite. But let's see...the last thing was...probably the brown butter plum skillet cobbler. So good! (and easy to make!)
