Thursday, November 5, 2009
It's time for a totally sweet giveaway, dudes and dudettes.
Sweet Cuppin Cakes Bakery & Cupcakery Supplies has kindly offered up a $50 gift certificate to one lucky winner! I'm sure you'll have no trouble putting it to good use on cute cupcake and baking accessories: they've got some fantastic cupcake liners, sprinkles and other garnishes, and display items too!
How do you put yourself in the running? It's easy. Just answer the following question:
What is the most unusual cupcake flavor you've ever tasted?
Maple bacon? Chai cardamom? Bananas foster? There are all sorts of unusual cupcake flavor combinations out there--have you sampled any of them? Or if you haven't sampled any unusual flavors, are there any you've wanted to try?
You can enter yourself in the running for a $50 gift certificate to Sweet Cuppin Cakes by entering your response to the above question in the comments section below; you might want to browse their shop in the meantime! The cake poll will close at 12 p.m. PST on Friday, November 13, 2009. Good luck!

Probably a gingersnap with maple butterscotch frosting. Not too terribly exotic, but delish!
Avocado and dark chocolate. I've never had it, but I'm thinking it might be a good combination. Of course, I could also be dead wrong =)
Chocolate Zucchini with cream cheese frosting! The best part is that the kids don't even know the zucchini is there!
I haven't tired too much because I love the basics and always seem to go with what I know, but I'd love to try a PB & J or a Chocolate/Bannana sunday cupcake ... sounds good to me!
I've been dying to try a chai latte cupcake or bake them myself...yum!
The Chai sounds divine! I think a cocoa-pepper would be interesting since I saw some hot cocoa mix in that flavor!
Probably the weirdest cupcake I've tasted is a chocolate mojito cupcake...or the one I made last week that had mozzarella buttercream!
I stick to normal flavors, but I am both intrigued and disgusted by cupcakes that include bacon as a flavor. Everyone knows that bacon makes everything better, but a cupcake? Really?
mmm, pandan!
OK, it's unusual *here*...

I'm pretty boring when it comes to cake. I like chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate. I guess I would want a chocolate, banana, oreo cupcake.
I would quite like to try grape cupcakes.
I'd like a banana spice with a caramel penuche frosting. Yummmmm....
Someone earlier said a beer batter cupcake with salted caramel frosting. I may have to figure out how to make that before I can sleep tonight!
Purple Yam!
Something called The Hummingbird from either Cupcake Royale or Trophy Cupcakes. Also, I've made Chai cupcakes (yum!) and would really love to try some of these crazy ones y'all are mentioning...
I had a rosewater cupcake with lavender frosting. It made me feel like I was eating a flower garden!
The most unusual cupcake I've tried was chipotle and chocolate (your Fire and Ice cupcake, Bakerella!!), and I loved that.
A flavor I'd like to try would be mango with a key lime type icing.
I've heard of a french toast cupcake with bacon. I'd really like to try that!
Oooh, I tried a squash and sweet potato cupcake once. It was magnifique!
It certainly is not that adventurous but I did once have an Sanbitter cupcake with orange buttercream frosting. Since I'm not a fan of sanbitter I didn't really care for it:(

i've heard of but never tried a Coconut Cupcake with Curry Coconut Rice Pudding filling, topped with Lemon Curry Curd and Sweet Basil Cream. yup that would be a bit unusual but still curious of how it would taste all together
Sweet & Salty Honey Peanut Cupcakes are an unusual favorite!
i saw these fig and quinoa cupcakes on a website that i really want to try, sounds delicious!
Probably the strawberry-peach-basil cupcakes I made for a bake off at work.
Chocolate covered licorice. YUM!!!
