{Bitter}Sweet: A Cake Poll and Cakespy Book Giveaway!

Cake Poll and Giveaway!

It's that time again: our monthly cake poll and giveaway! Our giveaway this month is pretty awesome--the winner will receive a copy of our first ever book--an illustrated collection of Cakespy illustrations entitled {Bitter}Sweet: A Study in Contrasts. Each page has a "sweet" scene (cupcakes acting cute!), contrasted with another "bittersweet" image (cupcakes in peril!) on the accompanying page! It's a sweet collection including 32 pages, packed with illustrations in full color--perfect for any lover of cake, illustration, or, you know, both. Learn more about the book here.
Cover for Books I'm making!!!My books!

1. Early afternoon, after a delicious lunch has had time to digest.
2. If it's a rich chocolate cake, sometimes you can't beat a glass of milk.
3. The pink cupcake, definitely.
4. Corner piece is the best, you get two sides of crunchy deliciousness and two sides of moist tastiness.
5. Cake should almost always come with ice cream.
6. The occasional supermarket mud cake can be a tasty treat, but anything with cream should be avoided.
7. Warm cake is great.
8. Baking. I'm not so good at the decorating.
9. I prefer something special like a chocolate-chilli cupcake, but everyone else seems to want just plain chocolate (yes, I realise cake comes in flavours other than chocolate. But are they really as good?)

July 7 | Unregistered Commenterashley884

1 There's a best time of day? Really? My own highly scientific studies have shown that every time of day is equally as good as every other!

2. Really depends on the flavor of the cake... but coffee is always nice... especially for breakfast!

3. Pink! Then lavendar and then white and yellow. I never trust blue or green frosting.

4. The middle, natch!

5. Love it. Lemon cake with vanilla ice cream. Coconut cake with pineapple ice cream Chocolate cake with caramel ice cream...

6. Never.

7. Room temp, unless it's a whipped cream cake. Warm if it's date cake with dark caramel topping.

8. I enjoy making any type of cake a lot, but the decorating part is the most fun. You might say it's the icing on the cake!

9. I always fall back on one of two options: a rustic and delicious bittersweet orange cake (rinds included!) or a chocolate mousse cake on a brownie base covered in clouds of whipped cream and grated bittersweet chocolate.

July 7 | Unregistered CommenterAnn

1. About an hour after a good meal.
2. Milk or coffee
3. I was hoping for orange, but I'll take lavender.
4. Corner, and I'll steal icing from all those who scrape it off their piece.
5. If there's ice cream, I mash, but I'd prefer no ice cream.
6. Guilty pleasure
7. room temperature
8. decorating (actually it's eating)
9. Carrot cake with maple orange frosting

4.I'm not picky, I'll take any piece.

5.Depends on the cake, but most times too much.

6.I'd never buy one, but I have to admit, I have eaten them at office parties.

7.Room Temp please.
